Meet Katy & Drew! What a fun couple!!
With the pandemic and the couple residing in Chicago, we met them via Zoom and instantly could not wait to work with them. They were planning a beautiful wedding at Mill Creek Wilde in Watervliet. The couple planned their big day around some huge obstacles... Pandemic, Venue restrictions, Constant changes in allowed number of guests, and the distance!!! But somehow through all of that, they managed to pull together an incredibly beautiful event.
As if Katy and Drew needed any more obstacles...the weather was not looking good. The radar was a bit on the EEEK side! This would be enough to set any about-to-wed couple into panic, but Katy and Drew took it with such ease. They were just ready to be married and celebrate. Rain or no rain. Shine or no shine.
We had to set the ceremony space up on the reception area due to it originally being outside...not ideal, but ended up being perfect. Katy and Drew got to say "I do" with their closest family and friends in attendance. We got to witness the pure joy and love of two deserving people and it was beautiful.
The rain and storms...tornado and flood warnings did not stop this crowd from having the best time. We may have all been a little wet, and a little nervous the venue would flood... But the party did NOT stop.
We will never forget this day. It might not have gone exactly to plan, but what turned out was beautiful.
Thank you, Katy and Drew, for allowing us to be a part of your day. For putting your trust in us and fully enjoying yourselves. It's always awesome to see a couple and their families able to fully enjoy their time and not stress about the details or worry about the changes.
You two have a fantastic family and some amazing friends. We wish you a lifetime of happiness. With the way you handled your wedding day... I know for certain you'll be able to handle anything that comes your way!!
