Meet Alissa and Kevin!
About a year ago we got this notification in our inbox that we had a couple looking for day of coordination, they lived out of town, planned to book us a hotel as long as we drove out to Gaylord, MI. GAYLORD. To us, that was no where. We had no idea what was out there.... nor did we fully want to believe we were about to do our first out-of-town wedding.
But we were thrilled! We were ready to take it on!
Being Alissa is from the UP and Kevin, from the east side we never really had the chance to meet them until the day before the wedding. We handled any and all things through email and texts and calls.
After a 3 1/2 hour drive that Friday morning, we arrived at Soujorn Lake Resorts in Gaylord, MI. Wow. The scenery literally took our breath away. These two could not have chosen a better venue. It was stunning. Its nestled so nicely in the woods overlooking a beautiful lake with a small hotel with nothing but great views, a ceremony location set right near the water, and a reception space that git perfectly in the middle of it all. The setting was something out of a movie.
Alissa had chosen the most beautiful Decor for both the ceremony and reception. She did not overwhelm the already stunning backdrop. We decorated the space with fresh greenery and stunning floral. Chiavari chairs and huge barn wood tables, with the most beautiful touches of lavender. The room smelled like heaven.
Watching the two of them share their love for each other under the beautiful sun, and dance the night away with all their friends and family under the stars was something we will never forget!
